From January to December of 2023, this imprint will publish a staggered but continuous thread of recordings made (or acquired) by Distrans Telekomm for purposes of research and development. These are either unique and original artifacts, or references to events from various dates and locations, each holding some level of great or small significance along the timeline from June 1956 to the present date.

Each recording has been given a catalog entry with varying degrees of notes from the active operator(s), and may be cited externally for theses, programs and other academic/historic/anthropological references. The catalog format is as follows:

Ex. 23/001a

1. The first two digits are the year of publication, in this case 2023.
2. Following a slash, the next three digits are the numeric indicator of the day of the year, between 001 and 365.
3. Any alphabetic character following these numbers indicates a subsequent recording from the same day, ordered chronologically.

Given the changing quality of recording equipment technologies through the decades, and the eccentric atmospheric conditions present throughout the subcontinent and its numerous entry sites on the surface, it is important to note that these recordings often sound quite raw and elemental, as a concerted effort has been made to preserve the material in an unaltered state.

Throughout the calendar year, intermittent testing tones will be included to maintain assured fidelity and alignment within the equipment, as well as a 1:1 link between source and output, allowing for these recordings to be accurately conveyed via a varied amount of stereo components, speakers and amplification systems.
