2021.11.2 OBSERVATION REPORT: This is [REDACTED] logging a supplemental report from [REDACTED] at facility [REDACTED]. We walked in to the lab this morning and found the [REDACTED] missing, with a small pile of graphine-like residue where it was left the night before. The residue has already been routed to the [REDACTED] for deeper analysis. For the last week, we've logged zero vibrational or [REDACTED] activity from the [REDACTED] or the Slate, in any proximity to each other, until last night at 11:39 PM. The [REDACTED] was left within the same observation room as the Slate, with all of our analyses indicating a similar origin and physical composition shared by both objects. Efforts made to facilitate some kind of physical connection between the two have failed, as the Slate has no known crevices or seams of any kind, and the [REDACTED] seems to be meant to attach to something else. The [REDACTED] resembled a spheroid with a diameter of 3.13 inches, surrounded on all sides by a [REDACTED] pattern of [REDACTED] that each extend to differing lengths. There was a small indentation shaped like a concave [REDACTED] that serves an undiscovered purpose. When it arrived at our lab, the [REDACTED] weighed only 6.23 ounces despite actually yielding enough physical density to necessitate a [REDACTED] in order to transport it at all.

The event recorded by our sensors at 11:33 PM consisted of a sudden burst of intensely loud feedback-like tones (indicated as a combination of six bands of distinct frequencies, five in the audible range - 63 Hz, 129 Hz, 612 Hz, 1233 Hz and 1896 Hz - and one in the subaudible range at 30 Hz, all emanating from the Slate at a monstrous and previously unrecorded 124 decibels) that lasted for exactly six minutes and thirty-three seconds. Night camera footage would have been captured, but was rendered useless after an unknown factor overheated the mechanisms and cut their feeds after three minutes and sixteen seconds of the sustained tones' emanation. It is unclear what, if anything, prompted this burst, but material analysis of the [REDACTED] may yet provide some answers.

Subsequent quarrying at [REDACTED] site have found no further objects or evidence of unnatural/foreign materials so far. [REDACTED] remains stationed at [REDACTED] pending further instruction.
